Sweet Baked Bloomy Rind Cheese

If your Memorial Day holiday turns out cold and rainy but you still need something yummy to serve your guests as they gather around the fireplace (instead of the barbecue!), try this scrumptious way to serve brie, bucheron, crottin or camembert!

1 sheet prepared puff pastry
1 round of bloomy-rinded (fuzzy) cheese
2 tablespoons marionberry jam, or your favorite sweet jam
Preheat the oven to 350°F.

On a sheet pan, lay out of the puff pastry. Place the cheese round in the center of the pastry. Spread the jam on top of the cheese and then fold the dough over the top of the cheese, cutting off any excess.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Serve warm.

  1. Came across your site and love it! We are surrounded by free ranging goats in the mountains of Andalucía, but most of the cheese we get here is semi or fully cured (hard) here. Very good though. Will be taking a better look around your site again soon.
